Frank Jaffe is a leader in applying security technologies to business problems. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), he is founder and President of MorSecure, a technology security management company. Prior to founding MorSecure, Frank was co-founder and Chief Security Officer of Clareon Corporation, a business-to-business Internet payments company spun off from FleetBoston Financial. Frank was instrumental in developing Clareon’s business model, technology, business processes, and security infrastructure, which enable secure high-value business-to-business payments through the Internet.
Prior to Clareon, Frank was with BankBoston for 15 years. As director of the Applied Technology group, Frank led a multi-bank research and development project to develop secure Internet payment technologies, was a member of the bank’s Computer Virus Emergency Response Team, and co-chaired an Internet strategic planning group for BankBoston’s chairman. Frank also represented BankBoston with BITS and co-chaired the BITS Payments Working Group, and was a vice president with the Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC).
Frank has led a number of projects for FSTC in the payments arena, starting with the Electronic Check project. Recent projects include efforts in check image quality, image-survivable check security features, and mobile payments. As a consultant to PaymentsNation on risk management issues, Frank helped launch the ICSF Special Interest Group, focused on helping the industry stop check fraud.
Frank is an inventor and has four patents in security and Internet payments. He holds a BA from Antioch College and an MS in Computer Information Sciences from Dartmouth College
