Adam Stone

Throughout his career, Adam Stone has served a variety of prominent clients, helping resolve issues relating to data privacy, security compliance and marketing for healthcare, financial services, insurance, social services, software firms, and others. He is also a recognized thought-leader in operational risk management and measurement.

For nearly a decade, Adam has been a leader in data privacy and security, leading privacy and security programs for a large insurance company and the Hazelden Foundation. He has also served as an executive recruiter for data privacy professionals.

Adam’s diverse leadership experiences range from government affairs, cost accounting, professional and academic training and instructional design, human resources, commercial real estate management, ERM/CRM/HRIS consulting and support, and pharmaceutical distribution.

An active member of several trade organizations, Adam has served in numerous industry initiatives relating to privacy, security and operational risk management. He is the chair of the Twin Cities-area International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) KnowledgeNet and is a member of the Twin Cities Privacy Network.

Adam earned his BA in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, and his MBA from the University of Saint Thomas. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Affairs degree from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.

Adam holds the CIPP, CISSP, and ISSMP certifications, and is an exam question writer and editor for the (ISC)2.
