
Lari Sue Taylor is a nationally recognized expert in information security and business continuity with over 20 years experience in systems technology. At The Santa Fe Group, Lari Sue provides consulting and project management services for the financial sector focusing on information security, business continuity, regulatory compliance, fraud reduction and risk management.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Lari Sue was Senior Technology Officer and Director of Technology Risk and Program Management for Citibank Technology Solutions Group (CTSG), where she managed all areas of technology risk in support of the Citibank NA retail consumer systems. This included setting direction and providing oversight for application security, audit and regulatory reviews, third party suppliers, offshore strategies, supporting infrastructure, and continuity of business. Additionally, she was responsible for the CTSG Enterprise Program Office, which included IT governance, policy, tools, and oversight of the project management process and the systems development lifecycle.
Prior to Citigroup, Lari Sue was Senior Vice President and Director of Enterprise Information Security and Recovery at FleetBoston Financial. She ensured the safety and soundness of the Fleet enterprise in all matters relating to information security, business continuity, and disaster recovery. Her role included setting strategic direction, establishing policy, and overseeing the design and implementation of Fleet's security, recovery, crisis management and overall technology risk practices.
Lari Sue has also served as Senior Vice President and Director of the Information Security and Technology Call Center at Summit Bancorp, where she implemented a corporate-wide information security program as well as client server support and business and disaster recovery functions.
Earlier in her career, Lari Sue served in the information security, telecommunications, networking, and client server environments at Fannie Mae in Washington, DC. While at Fannie Mae, she built the Technology Risk Management organization, focusing on all aspects of information security. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Lari Sue spent eight years with Bell Atlantic, where she held management positions in systems design, development, and implementations.
Lari Sue is active in several industry groups. During her banking tenure she was an active member of the BITS Security and Risk Assessment Steering Committee and the BITS Fraud Reduction Steering Committee. She has led many information security and recovery initiatives and roundtables.
Lari Sue was recognized by Computerworld Magazine as a "Premier 100 IT Leader" for 2002. She is a frequent speaker on technology risk.
