Michele Edson is a risk professional with more than 28 years of banking and risk/fraud experience. She joins The Santa Fe Group as a Senior Vice President, leading the Shared Assessments Program.
Michele works closely with outsourcers in financial services, retailing, healthcare, telecommunications and other industries, as well as technology providers and regulators, to ensure the Shared Assessments Program fulfills its goal of creating efficiencies and cost savings in the service provider assessment process. Michele is also responsible for program governance, working group activities, marketing, and the overall strategy for the program.
Prior to joining The Santa Fe Group, Michele was a Senior Business Executive with Carreker Corporation. As part of the Risk Solutions Group, Michele managed client relationships and risk sales for tier 1 and 2 financial institutions.
Prior to Carreker, Michele was a Vice President and corporate officer with Primary Payments Systems, Inc. (PPS). Michele's responsibilities at PPS included managing the Customer Relations and Risk Management teams. While at PPS, Michele worked with the BITS membership and existing PPS contributors to build and advance the National Shared Accounts Database.
Michele's career history includes branch operations with Wells Fargo, Northern California S&L, Great Western (now Washington Mutual), and Household Credit Services (now HSBC), where she managed various key areas within Fraud Prevention and Information Security.
