Peter J. Baldassaro

Peter Baldassaro is the former Corporate Security Manager for Hibernia National Bank, a $22.2 billion-asset, multi-bank holding company with operations in Louisiana and Texas. Peter’s career at Hibernia National Bank began in 1979 as a fraud investigator, culminating in his position as manager of corporate security, where he oversaw all aspects of physical security and fraud investigations. A former New Orleans Police Department Officer, Peter provides an expert law-enforcement and white collar crime perspective on internal fraud as a banker and a teacher. The majority of Peter’s career in law enforcement involved major business crime investigations.

An industry leader in fighting financial crime in the banking industry, Peter has served on committees with the American Bankers Association, the American Society for Industrial Security, the Bank Administration Institute, BITS, the Louisiana Bankers Association and the Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association. He speaks on bank security at international, national and local conferences and academic institutions.
